Mike
Salas is transforming from one of the best-kept secrets in the Los
Angeles basin to a diverse performer in four different musical worlds.
You can catch Mike in one of his many area
concerts or contact Mike to get copies
of his recordings or to get on his e-mail
mailing list.

Mike is performing singer/songwriter acoustic guitar
and vocals in the Los Angeles area. He also has been deep at work
recently on some new composed songs using the latest in digital
music technologies -- and is getting more and more excited at the
possibilities. Check out samples of his music
at this link.

Satellite
Dogs, an alternative rock band, has been together since the
early 90's, initially playing acoustic in cafes & some pubs
in LA and Orange County. Mike provides energy in this mix, playing
electric and acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Their style
-- melodic mid-tempo sprinkled with roots rock, a little psychedelic,
and punk rock. They have added drums and went electric, playing
in highlight clubs including The Roxy, Fais Do-Do, Molly Malone's,
and DiPiazza's. They are finishing their first album, Showdown at
Big Dalton. Concert info also can be found at MySpace.

Mike can be found around town
playing with The Osco Fiasco, showcasing late '70s punk rock-influenced
music. Check this link for upcoming concerts
when they are announced.

Along
with Gigi Johnson (www.gigiandmike.com),
Mike continues concerts and TV shows to enjoy folk and folk-rock
with families -- both old traditional songs and new original tunes.
Mike, who teaches during days for more than a decade, also has
been appearing on KCET-TV's A Place of Our Own for two years now
as a guest on music and other topics for kids. Check this
link for upcoming evenings and this link
for samples of their enlivening music.
